Nuestra caminata hoy. Muy linda. 1300+ acres, 12 miles of trails, 30 miles south of San Francisco, a different metaverse (but not of madness, thankfully). 16 hikers, a group record: 14 humans y dos perros. A 5-mile out-and-back and a 7 mile loop. Betsy Crowder to Spring Ridge to Anniversary Trail and back or continúe to Lost Hills and down Hamms Gulch, back to the Portola Road parking lot. Your choice. 9am start. Cool, misty, light wind, higher at the summit, Windy Hill indeed. Sun finally breaking through on the way down, still cool, crisp, especially for early July, perfect. Barebottles and sodas at the bottom. Our first “family” hike of the Peninsula Hiking Group. Old friends and new members, lively conversation, a respite from screen time (except for taking the pictures below). Time to do this again soon. Where? Suggestions welcomed.
